Legend of zelda minecraft mods1/2/2024 ![]() ![]() The most impressive thing about this project was that it was done with no mods at all because C1OUS3R says they wanted it this way to make it accessible for players who don't use modifications. As spotted by Kotaku, this Minecraft player has taken the 2011 sandbox game and turned it into the OG Zelda title. ![]() RELATED: Minecraft Player Creates Incredible Building Based on Spirited Awayīut that's exactly what YouTuber C1OUS3R has done. Given that Zelda games are still being made and are still so popular, it's hardly surprising that someone would want to honor the original release by doing their own version of it in a different game entirely. Introducing the world to Link, Nintendo's green-clothed Hylian adventurer has become a mascot on par with the likes of Mario and Sonic. However, 1986's Zelda is just as much an influential open-world game as Minecraft, possibly even more so due to it birthing one of the most iconic video game franchises of all time. Much of this is down to the near-endless creative potential it affords players. Known for being a game with relaxing mining and exploration features, Mojang's open-world sandbox release became one of the biggest IPs in gaming history and is still selling in droves to this day. ![]() From all the attempts at different Zelda themed Minecraft creations I have seen, they are by far doing the best job. While Minecraft is sort of a modern game, it definitely takes visual cues from the retro days of the industry, so someone has managed to turn the blocky title into the original The Legend of Zelda. I have to hand it to all the work Kevin and the rest of the guys at GenGAME are putting in on this. While I don’t play Minecraft myself, I have to admit that I would be lying if I said HyruleCraft didn’t excite me. In addition to the already released 1:1 reproduction of Hyrule and the original NES Zelda Dungeons, we can expect to see some PVP areas, some zones outside of the original Ocarina of Time game, and some maps inspired by A Link to the Past that are still being planned. Although it’s not available for download yet, its nice to have a glimpse at what is to be expected. In just four days, Kevin was able to completely build all the classic dungeons on their HyruleCraft server. For a closer look, be sure to make the jump inside for the video showing off all the dungeons and more details on the project. ![]()
